Provided both side panels have been cut to exactly the same size, there is no reason why you should not clamp them together with all edges flush and cut out paired slots at the same time.
Many of the armchairs don't do that and many have seats at the wrong angle. Making it completely uncomfortable to sit in. Should the armchairs for sale you're taking a look at are to be alongside a sofa, then you want to leave at least 2 feet between them. You also want to leave at least two feet between the armchair and coffee table to stop banging the knees each and every time you stand up!
From where I'm sitting, using it as a summer dining area seems unnecessary. Your summer dining area will be your garden or patio if you have the space, and if the weather is good enough, so why would you need what is effectively a tertiary dining area?

It means that if the room is such which will be utilized for frequent movements then it is better to buy an armchair that is not to bulky as shifting it from one place to another will be problematic. The position of reclining is also important that is if you want an armchair that should give support to your head then choose an upright armchair with hand rest.
